I tried to book this hostal through Hostal world and although i payed the deposit they asked for on the site, the hostal then sent me a form asking for my visa number and personal information. They refused to reserve the room without this information. Ive traveled all over the world and have never been asked to send my visa number over email, and find this a very unsecure practice as they could later charge me more, various times or even sell my visa number etc. I had to cancel the reservation, book another hostal and pay the booking fee again. Id advise travelers to be careful with this one. There are too many hostals in Joburg to take the risk.

We were picked up and dropped off at the airport free of charge which gives peace of mind when you are travelling in a town which is regarded as unsafe to travel alone.
